Luke Andrea, MD, is an attending physician, Critical Care Medicine at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Andrea’s clinical focus is in the care of critically ill patients both in and out of the ICU, as well as performing clinical research to improve care practices.
After completing his Bachelor of Science in physics and astronomy at University of Missouri-Columbia in 2013, Dr. Andrea continued at the institution’s School of Medicine, earning his Doctor of Medicine in 2017. He came to Einstein for his postdoctoral training, completing his internal medicine residency in 2020 and his critical care fellowship in 2022.
Dr. Andrea’s research focus is in cardiac arrest, resuscitation and acute respiratory distress syndrome. He has shared his work through peer-reviewed journals, poster presentations and abstracts.
Dr. Andrea is board certified and is a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine. In 2020, he received the Leo M. Davidoff Society Award for outstanding achievement in the teaching of medical students.
