Michael Whang, MD, is Director of Obstetric Anesthesiology, Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital. His clinical focus centers on regional and obstetrical anesthesia.
After obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in biology from Cornell University in 1988, Dr. Whang earned his Doctor of Medicine at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in 1992. He completed his internship at St. Barnabas Medical Center 1993, followed by his anesthesiology residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center in 1996.
Dr. Whang is a member of the New York State Society of Anesthesiologists and the American Society of Anesthesiologists. He was named in Castle Connolly’s “Top Doctors” from 2023 to 2024.
