Malav P. Shah, MD, is an attending physician and Assistant Professor, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Montefiore Einstein. His clinical focus centers on inpatient general rehabilitation, orthopedic rehabilitation, amputee (limb loss) rehabilitation, neurologic rehabilitation and neuromuscular rehabilitation.
After obtaining his Bachelor of Science in biology from The College of New Jersey in 2014, Dr. Shah earned his Doctor of Medicine at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in 2018. He completed his internal medicine preliminary year at the same institution in 2019. Following this, Dr. Shah completed his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital/Magee Rehabilitation Hospital in 2022.
Building on his clinical focus, Dr. Shah’s research focuses on improving the quality of outcomes in acute inpatient rehabilitation care. He has given national poster presentations and has submitted his work to scientific journals.
Dr. Shah is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the Association of Academic Physiatrists and the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
