Dr. Rand received her Bachelor of Arts in anthropology at New York University in 2006. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathy in 2010 at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then completed a traditional rotating internship at Nassau University Medical Center in 2011, followed by a physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at Montefiore in 2014.
Dr. Rand’s published research explores the effective use of 3-dimensional (3D) printing for prostheses, the integration of alternative medicine into primary care, and graduate medical education trends and signaling. She oversees the department’s 3D printing lab, with a focus on printing durable medical equipment and prostheses.
