Oleg Otlivanchik, MD, PhD, is Co-Director, Comprehensive Stroke Center at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Neurology at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Otlivanchik's clinical focus is on vascular disorders of the brain.
After obtaining his Bachelor of Science in materials science and engineering from Columbia University in 2008, Dr. Otlivanchik earned his Doctor of Philosophy in neuroscience at Rutgers University in 2014, followed by his Doctor of Medicine at the same institution in 2016. He then came to Montefiore Einstein to continue his medical training, completing his internal medicine internship in 2017, his residency in neurology in 2020 where he was Chief Resident in his final year, and a fellowship in vascular neurology in 2021.
Dr. Otlivanchik's research interests include quality improvement, stroke education, diagnostic error, atherosclerotic disease, stroke prevention and neurorehabilitation. He has been the site primary investigator and research assistant on several research projects, and his work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, review articles and abstracts.
Dr. Otlivanchik is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a member of the American Academy of Neurology.
