Monica Lynn Koncicki, MD, FAAP, is Program Director, Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Fellowship and Assistant Director, Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore and Montefiore Einstein. As a specialist in pediatric critical care, her focus is on providing the highest level of medical care to seriously or critically ill children.
In 2011, Dr. Koncicki received her Doctor of Medicine from New Jersey Medical School, Rutgers University. Her postgraduate training began with a three-year residency in pediatrics at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, which she completed in 2014. In 2017, she completed a three-year fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital.
Dr. Koncicki’s research interests include optimizing outcomes for children living with chronic critical illness and chronic respiratory failure with technology dependence. She has also participated in national studies regarding multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C). She has shared her research findings through peer-reviewed journal articles, abstracts and poster presentations.
Dr. Koncicki is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric critical care. She was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society (AOA) and is a member of several professional societies including the Association of Pediatric Program Directors, the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
