Sonia S. Talathi, MD, is a Vascular Surgeon at Montefiore and Assistant Professor of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Talathi received her medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine and later completed her residency in general surgery at Montefiore-Einstein, where she served as Administrative Chief Resident. She went on to complete her fellowship in vascular surgery at Northwell Health in Long Island, New York, and was subsequently named Fellow Teacher of the Year.
Dr. Talathi specializes in endovascular and surgical treatments for the management of vascular diseases. Her research interests include peripheral vascular disease, dialysis access and quality improvement. She has published multiple scientific papers and presented at numerous national meetings.
