Mahvish Q. Rahim, MD, MS, MBA, is an attending physician at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics, Pediatric Hematology-Oncology and Stem Cell Transplant at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Rahim’s clinical focus centers on stem cell transplant and cellular therapy for patients with leukemia and sickle cell disease. She also has an interest in fertility preservation for pediatric hematology-oncology patients.

After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in biology from Bryn Mawr College in 2010, Dr. Rahim earned her Doctor of Medicine at the American University of the Caribbean in St. Maarten in 2014. Following this, she earned her Master of Business Administration in health services at DeVry University Keller Graduate School of Management in 2015. Dr. Rahim then completed her pediatric residency at Charleston Area Medical Center, where she was Chief Resident in her third year. In 2021, she completed a hematology-oncology fellowship at Riley Hospital for Children, Indiana University School of Medicine, where she was Chief Fellow in her third year. Dr. Rahim completed her Master of Science in clinical research at Indiana University School of Medicine in the same year. She remained at this institution to complete her fourth-year stem cell transplant fellowship in 2022.

Dr. Rahim’s clinical research focuses on the side effects of stem cell transplants and quality improvement. She has shared her work through numerous peer-reviewed publications and invited lectures.

Dr. Rahim is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology-Oncology. She is a member of the American Society of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology and the American Society for Transplantation and Cellular Therapy.
