Jonathan Ross, MD, is an attending physician at Montefiore Einstein and Associate Professor, General Internal Medicine at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Ross focuses on primary care, HIV primary care and medical cannabis.
After obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in neuroscience and behavior from Columbia University in 2001, Dr. Ross earned his Doctor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College in 2012. He then trained in internal medicine at Montefiore Einstein, completing his internship in 2013, his residency in 2015 and a fellowship in 2017. Dr. Ross also earned his Master of Science in clinical research methods at Montefiore Einstein in 2017.
Dr. Ross’s research focuses on how people access and utilize HIV treatment and prevention services in the United States and sub-Saharan Africa. He is particularly interested in the relationship between migration and HIV outcomes. He has been principal investigator on numerous funded research projects and has given many national and international invited presentations. Dr. Ross’s work has been published in Clinical Infectious Diseases, the Journal of the International AIDS Society and JAMA Internal Medicine, among others.
Dr. Ross is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a member of the Society for General Internal Medicine and the International Antiviral Society–USA.
