Anna Maria Lasak, MD, is Clinical Director, Department of Rehabilitation Medicine and Director, Women’s Health Rehabilitation Fellowship Program at Montefiore. She is also an Assistant Professor of Clinical Rehabilitation Medicine at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Since joining the Montefiore team, her clinical focus has been on women’s health, specifically pelvic floor rehabilitation and lymphedema management.

In 1993, Dr. Lasak received her Doctor of Medicine from the Medical University in Warsaw. Her postgraduate training began in 1997, with a year-long internship at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital. She then completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2001, becoming Chief Resident in her final year.

Her research focus is treating urinary incontinence with biomechanical foot orthosis. In 2017, Dr. Lasak became Principal Investigator in an ongoing research project on this topic. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and articles and has been presented nationally.

Dr. Lasak is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is a member of the International Pelvic Pain Society and of the American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS).
