Elise K. Richman, MD, is Medical Director of the Glebe Adult Outpatient Department at Montefiore Behavioral Health Center as well as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine since 1989. She loves teaching and is involved in educating medical students, Psychiatry residents, and Addiction Psychiatry fellows. Dr. Richman’s clinical interests focus on Community Psychiatry and Addiction. She has a passion for helping adult patients with serious psychiatric disorders including those who have co-occurring substance-use disorders.

Dr. Richman earned her medical degree from Boston University in 1983. She selected the Boston University School of Medicine for her post-graduate training, completing her residency in Psychiatry in 1987.

She is board certified in Psychiatry and in Addiction Medicine and is an active member in the Leo M. Davidoff Society, The American Psychiatric Association, the American Association of Addiction Psychiatry, and the American Society of Addition Medicine.
