Rosa M. Seijo, MD, is a Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her clinical interests include early diagnosis of autism spectrum disorders and psychopharmacology for behavioral difficulties in children and adolescents with developmental disabilities.
In 1986, Dr. Seijo received her Bachelor of Arts in psychobiology from Wellesley College. She then attended Mount Sinai School of Medicine, earning her Doctor of Medicine in 1990. For her postgraduate training, she came to Montefiore Einstein, completing her pediatric residency in 1993 and her pediatric developmental/behavioral fellowship in 1995.
Dr. Seijo’s research interests include children and adolescents with developmental disabilities and suicide screening in children with developmental disabilities. She has shared her work through peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, abstracts, poster presentations and invited presentations.
Dr. Seijo is board certified in Pediatrics, and Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrics. She is a member of the Developmental Behavioral Society of Greater New York.
