Andrew H. Lee, MD is an attending physician and Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at Montefiore Einstein. His clinical focus includes gender affirming surgery, including facial feminization surgery (FFS), facial masculinization surgery, tracheal shave, and voice feminization surgery. His other clinical interests include functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty, aging face procedures, and facial reanimation.

In 2008, Dr. Lee received his Bachelor of Arts in biophysical chemistry from Dartmouth College. He later attended Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, earning his Doctor of Medicine in 2015. He began his postdoctoral training at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, completing his residency in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck surgery in 2015. In 2021, he completed his fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Boston Medical Center and The Spiegel Center. Upon completion of fellowship, he was awarded the Sir Harold Delf Gillies Prize for his research on the tracheal shave procedure.

Dr. Lee’s research interests include optimizing outcomes and improving the safety of the procedures included in facial feminization surgery. He is also interested in describing novel surgical techniques, and in combination with his art background, has published medical illustrations in numerous journals and presentations. He is a co-author of over 50 publications/presentations and has been published in preeminent plastic surgery journals such as Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (PRS) and Facial Plastic Surgery & Aesthetic Medicine (FPSAM).

Dr. Lee is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery and of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH).
