About
Kathleen Ronca, DNP, APRN-BC, NP-C, is a Doctor of Nursing Practice in the Emergency Department at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM). Dr. Ronca’s clinical focus centers on caring for children from newborn through the age of 21 who have an urgent or emergent need. In her role, she has access to a wide variety of diagnostics tests and imaging.
Dr. Ronca received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Masters Degree in Nursing from Lehman College. She continued her education, earning a post-masters degree as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing and a post-masters degree as an Adult Nurse Practitioner from the College of Mount Saint Vincent. She later earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Dr. Ronca has particular interest in providing equitable care to all patients and is interested in health care disparities. She ensures patients get appropriate follow-up care with the many highly trained pediatric specialists at CHAM.
Dr. Ronca is certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is a certified Sexual Assault Forensic Nurse Examiner.
