Benjamin Steinman, DO, is an attending physician at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Steinman’s clinical focus centers on end-stage kidney disease and acute dialysis.
After earning his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2016, Dr. Steinman completed his pediatric residency at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in 2019. He was then Chief Resident until 2020. Following this, Dr. Steinman completed his fellowship in pediatric nephrology at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein in 2023.
Dr. Steinman’s research aligns with his clinical expertise. His work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, books, chapters and review articles, and he has shared his work through national and international presentations.
Dr. Steinman is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Society of Pediatric Nephrology, the National Kidney Foundation and the International Pediatric Nephrology Association.
