Tomer Kotek, MD, is an attending anesthesiologist at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. His clinical focus centers on anesthesia for trauma, thoracic surgeries and anesthesia and pain management for labor and delivery.
After earning his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Rome Tor Vergata Medical School in Rome, Italy in 2013, Dr. Kotek completed an internship at Soroka University Medical Center in Beer Sheva, Israel in 2014, followed by his cardiothoracic surgery residency at the same institution in 2015. He remained at this institution to complete an additional anesthesiology & intensive care residency in 2021.
Dr. Kotek’s research focuses on neurophysiology and the respiratory system. His work has been shared through peer-reviewed books, chapters in books, review articles and presentations.
Dr. Kotek is Israeli board certified in Anesthesiology. He is a member of the American Medical Association,the American Anesthesiology Association, the New York State Anesthesiology Association, the Israeli Society of Anesthesiologists and the Israeli Medical Association.
