Surgical Services
While many couples can achieve a successful pregnancy through targeted fertility treatment, occasionally others are recommended to undergo surgery in order to maximize their chances of conceiving a child. At Montefiore's Institute for Reproductive Medicine and Health, we offer a wide range of minimally invasive surgical services in a friendly, compassionate atmosphere.
Additionally, our treatment rooms, laboratory, and operating room are all located under one roof, so patients interface with the same team of professionals through their entire process. We will also take the time to educate patients about all options, so each is comfortable with their choices moving forward.
Women who have fibroids, a tubule disease, endometriosis, or intro-uterine defects may require surgical management prior to an IVF treatment in order to optimize their anatomy, and ultimately their outcome. By undergoing surgery, couples dramatically increase their chances of pregnancy success, especially those with blocked tubes. After they are unblocked, chances of conception increase 70%. Plus our surgical success rate is 95%, and we are proud to report that many conceive afterwards and realize their dreams of parenthood.
