Joint Commission Certification for Advanced Total Hip & Knee Replacement
The Montefiore Einstein Orthopedic Surgery’s Center for Joint Replacement Surgery is the only program in the Bronx and Westchester certified as an Advanced Total Hip and Knee Replacement Center by the Joint Commission, one of the premier certification programs in the country.
The Joint Commission requires hospitals to meet the most stringent clinical practice guidelines, measures of quality and performance improvement initiatives for outstanding patient care and outcomes during the evaluation process. An independent, nonprofit organization, the Joint Commission is the nation’s oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in healthcare.
This certification recognizes the high quality of care provided to our patients undergoing joint replacement surgery, in the operating room and during all stages of treatment. We are the only center in the Bronx and Westchester to receive this national certification—a demonstration of our extraordinary commitment to patient safety and surgical excellence in joint replacement.
