Comprehensive Lung Program Research

Leaders in the field of lung disease and transplant research, our Comprehensive Lung Program team  conducts numerous studies. Our world-renowned physicians and physician scientists work in collaboration with specialists in cardiology, oncology, radiology, psychiatry, family medicine and translational research to broaden understanding in medicine and provide innovative treatment options for patients living with lung disease.

When appropriate, patients may be presented with the option of participating in clinical trials. Investigators at Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Lung Program are involved in over 60 clinical trials—from interventional trials to observational and feasibility studies. To learn more, speak with your doctor, who can provide information relevant to your diagnosis and condition.

Clinical Trials

Our multidisciplinary team members are regularly involved in multicenter trials, contributing to groundbreaking scientific discoveries and innovations that lead to improved patient outcomes. Depending on a patient’s diagnosis, participation in a clinical trial may be an option. These research studies explore new ways to diagnose, prevent, treat and manage illness.

Through clinical trials, patients gain access to the latest treatments that are not yet broadly available and which are administered by doctors and nurses familiar with them and their medical history. These treatments are under research, which is an essential step in advancing the state of the art in medical care.
