Montefiore Einstein’s Comprehensive Lung Program includes a multidisciplinary team of pulmonologists, lung surgeons, lung transplant surgeons and more, working together to treat all conditions, from the benign to the malignant, the simple to the complex. Our highly trained experts utilize state-of-the-art technology and the most advanced surgical techniques to provide disease management, treatment, surgery and transplantation. Our program plays a unique and vital role in the local community as the exclusive healthcare provider for interstitial lung disease and advanced emphysema treatments.
Our team of specialists, nurses, social workers, psychiatrists, nutritionists and pharmacists are focused on providing relationship-centered care, and we collaborate with our patients, families, and each other to provide the best care possible and improve quality of life and survival rates.
When treating patients with a lung cancer diagnosis, the Comprehensive Lung Program is fully integrated with Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center, among the elite 1% NCI-designated comprehensive cancer centers in the U.S and ranked among the top one percent of U.S. hospitals for cancer care by U.S. News & World Report.

Montefiore Einstein's Comprehensive Lung Program uses the latest technology and surgical techniques. From advanced diagnostics and surgical staging to minimally invasive robotic surgery, we utilize leading-edge advancements for precise, efficient, state-of-the art care.
We stand out as one of just two hospitals in New York City using the LUNGguard™ Donor Lung Preservation System to transport lungs for transplantation. We are also one of only two centers nationwide to use confocal laser endomicroscopy, a technology that enables physicians to examine transplanted lungs at the cellular level.
In addition to these pioneering technologies, we proudly hold the distinction of being the only program in New York to offer transbronchial cryobiopsy to patients fighting interstitial lung diseases.
