Dr. Anand is an expert in regional anesthesia and acute pain medicine and leads Montefiore's anesthesia services at the Hutchinson Campus Ambulatory Surgery Center. She ensures all anesthesia providers treat their patients with the highest level of safety and quality while they are at Montefiore for a wide range of ambulatory procedures.
Research Focus
Dr. Anand has published work on a variety of topics including, case cancellation predictors for ambulatory surgeries, local anesthetic resistance, utilizing disposable on-mechanical elastomeric balloon pumps for postoperative analgesia, and the effects of inflammatory pain on CB1 receptors. She has also conducted research on acupuncture protocols to treat opioid-induced adverse side effects.
