How to Apply
Eligible candidates will have completed a doctoral-level degree (PhD or PsyD) from an APA/PCSAS-accredited clinical or counseling psychology graduate program and an APA/CPA-accredited pre-doctoral internship and will possess a strong, demonstrated interest in working with a diverse, multicultural, and systematically under-resourced population.
Prior to starting, all candidates must reside in New York State and obtain a Limited Permit for Persons Gaining Experience For Licensure issued by the New York State Education Department, Office of the Professions, Division of Professional Licensing Services. These are one-year, full-time (approximately 45 hours/week) postdoctoral positions.
The start date is flexible, but ideally will be in the month of September.
The current stipend is $75,000. Postdoctoral fellows also receive comprehensive medical and dental coverage medical insurance, 20 vacation days, 12 sick days, 9 hospital holidays, and up to 5 conference days and $2000 conference support for their professional development. Fellows also have full use of the Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine libraries, including free interlibrary loan and online access to full-text journals, e-books, and streaming videos.

The Postdoctoral Residency Program in Health Service Psychology at Montefiore-Einstein requires a background check, pre-employment drug testing, and medical clearance as conditions of employment.

- A cover letter detailing your specific strengths and experiences you plan to bring to our program (no more than 2 pages)
- A separate statement of interest in one (or more) of our specialized tracks and the learning opportunities that specific track (or tracks) offers that you hope to gain towards your professional goals and interests (no more than 1 page each)
- An updated curriculum vitae
- Three letters of recommendation from individuals knowledgeable about your clinical skills (may be sent directly by recommenders or by applicant as a signed pdf)
- Unofficial graduate school transcripts
Please compile all documents (other than recommendations and transcript) into a single file (.doc or .pdf). Please do not repeat cover page information on other documents. Application deadline is December 1 each year. Interviews will be scheduled in December and/or January (if necessary) and offers will go out soon after the completion of the interview process.
