Orthodontics, Dentofacial Orthopedics Residency Program
Welcome! We appreciate your interest in the Montefiore Einstein Orthodontics Residency Program. Montefiore Einstein provides postgraduate clinical training to over 1,400 residents and fellows annually. Our health system spans over 11 hospitals and 200 clinics and consists of over 2,000 physicians and 40,000 total employees. This results in over 1.1 million patients seen annually, representing the largest network in the Bronx, Westchester and the Hudson Valley. We have a total of 10 dental sites that are fully integrated with our medical and allied health colleagues in a nationally recognized clinical, research and teaching environment. These are some of the benefits of being one of the largest training institutions for graduate medical and dental training in the country.
Our Orthodontics Division prides itself on providing interceptive, comprehensive and pre-surgical orthodontic care to patients of all ages from diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. As a result, our residents encounter a wide spectrum of orthodontic and craniofacial cases, from bread-and-butter orthodontics to the most intricate and challenging malocclusions and skeletal growth patterns. The Montefiore Einstein Orthodontics Residency program has a long history of providing a high-volume, fast-paced and intellectually challenging environment that equips residents with the knowledge, skills and experiences to succeed in private practice and academics. Supported by our progressive and award-winning medical center and school, our program is ideally positioned to be on the cutting edge of technology and training, and our goal is not to keep up with changing environments and landscapes but rather lead the way.
Understanding the importance of team culture, it does not take long to realize that this residency program values the connections between colleagues that exemplifies a supportive and caring environment. We aim to cultivate emotionally intelligent, lifelong learners who embrace challenges and understand that the joy is not in the destination, but the journey. We are honored to be part of a team that struggles, strives, learns and leads together in an innovative and engaging environment.
