Department of Pharmacy
The Department of Pharmacy at Montefiore Medical Center provides a spectrum of pharmacotherapy services to four hospitals and an ambulatory care network that spans the Bronx, N.Y. and Westchester County. These services range from clinical pharmacy services in a variety of disciplines, investigational drug services, research and education to patients, students and healthcare providers.
The Pharmacy staff of clinical pharmacists, pharmacy specialists (technicians), pharmacy interns, support personnel and pharmacy managers is dedicated to Pharmaceutical Care focused on achieving positive patient outcomes through drug therapy.

Pharmacy Residency
The PGY-1 Residency Program in Pharmacy at Montefiore is an accredited program of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. Established in 1968 as the first pharmacy residency in New York City, it was accredited by the American Society of Hospital Pharmacists in 1975.
The program consists of a one month general orientation, followed by 11 months of learning experiences. Five residents are accepted into the program annually.
