Amy R. Ehrlich, MD is the Associate Chief of the Division of Geriatrics. She is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the Medical Director of the Montefiore Home Health Agency. Dr. Ehrlich received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed her internal medicine residency at Beth Israel Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Ehrlich is a fellow of the American Geriatrics Society and is active in both regional and national geriatrics organizations.
Dr. Ehrlich has been involved in program design and development in geriatrics education for preclinical medical students at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and was the recipient of Einstein's Davidoff award for outstanding achievement in the teaching of medical students. She was the Program Director for the Geriatrics Fellowship at Montefiore-Einstein for many years and remains active in the educational activities of the fellowship.
Dr. Ehrlich has an interest in the prevention of burns and fire-related injuries in the elderly. She has authored peer-reviewed journal articles, reviews and book chapters on this subject. In her current role as Medical Director of Montefiore Home Care, she is working with the interdisciplinary home care team to develop innovative disease specific programs which help address challenges in transitions of care across the Montefiore network.
