As Assistant Vice President of Nursing at Montefiore Einstein Hospital, Moses Campus, I am proud to represent our ongoing commitment to nursing excellence and our shared values of purpose, respect, innovation and extraordinary caring. Our Services

At the Moses Campus, nurses are the driving force behind clinical excellence and innovation across every specialty. They are ANCC-certified across a broad range of disciplines and bring advanced expertise and leadership to every aspect of care. From transplantation and heart and vascular services to cancer care and neuroscience, Moses nurses lead teams, advance best practices, and deliver outcomes that consistently reflect the highest standards of the nursing profession.

  • Emergency Department

    Moses Campus Emergency Department nurses face myriad illnesses and injuries in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment that requires a unique blend of clinical, cognitive and interpersonal skills. Our Emergency Department is equipped and staffed to handle a wide range of urgent and life-threatening conditions.

    Our Emergency and Trauma Department also has Geriatric Emergency Department Accreditation (GEDA). It serves tens of thousands of adult patients each year with nurses playing critical, multifaceted roles that are essential to patient care, safety and the overall functioning of the Department.

  • Center for Transplantation

    As one of the most advanced and innovative transplant centers in the world, Montefiore Einstein Center for Transplantation has a long history of pioneering procedures. The Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients (SRTR) ranked the Montefiore Einstein Heart Transplant Program first in the U.S. for heart transplant risk-adjusted one-year survival.

    Our nurses are critical partners at the Center, and their contributions span pretransplant coordination and operating room (OR) support to educating patients and their families and implementing evidence-based practices and new protocols.

  • Neuroscience Center

    At our Moses Campus, nurses play a vital, interdisciplinary role in advancing neurological care, research and patient outcomes. Trained in neuro-assessment techniques, Montefiore Einstein’s Moses nurses provide specialized care and monitoring to patients with stroke, epilepsy, brain tumors, neurodegenerative diseases and spinal cord injuries.

  • Comprehensive Stroke Center

    Montefiore Einstein is recognized by Joint Commission as an Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center, among the top 3% of stroke care hospitals in the U.S. At the highest-volume stroke center in the New York Metropolitan Area, our nurses receive stroke-specific clinical training, including rapid triage and stroke recognition protocols like Balance, Eyes, Face, Arms, Speech, Time (BE FAST) and administration of tissue plasminogen activator (tPA).

    Our certified neuroscience registered nurses (CNRNs) and stroke certified registered nurses (SCRNs) are integral to helping patients survive and manage acute stroke events, providing lifesaving treatments and rehabilitation.

  • Center for Heart & Vascular Care

    Montefiore Einstein Moses nurses are integral members of interdisciplinary teams within the Montefiore Einstein Center for Heart and Vascular Care. Many hold advanced training and certifications specific to this practice area, including electrophysiology, heart failure and interventional cardiology.

    Our Comprehensive Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) Program, accredited by Joint Commission, supports excellence in advanced heart failure and mechanical circulatory support and earned a Gold Plus Get With The Guidelines®–Stroke Award from the American Heart Association (AHA), acknowledging consistent adherence to evidence-based guidelines for stroke treatment and prevention. These accreditations not only demonstrate clinical excellence but also highlight the critical role of our nursing workforce in achieving and sustaining high standards of patient care

  • Comprehensive Cancer Center

    Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center is among the elite 1% National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated comprehensive cancer centers in the U.S. and is ranked in the top 1% of all U.S. hospitals for cancer care according to U.S. News & World Report.

    Our cancer center provides diagnosis and treatment for over 200 cancer types. We are accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, affirming our commitment to multidisciplinary cancer care, patient outcomes and quality improvement.

    Many of Montefiore Einstein’s Moses nurses are nationally certified in oncology nursing through the ANCC. They are leaders in quality improvement, safety and patient-centered innovation—ensuring our Campus remains at the forefront of specialized cancer treatment and care.

Transformative $4.5 Million Grant to Advance Nursing Excellence

Our Moses Campus was awarded a transformative $4.5 million grant from the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation, the largest nursing-focused grant received in our history. Montefiore Einstein is one of only 13 hospitals in New York State selected for this prestigious Nursing Initiative grant. The grant will advance the Department of Nursing’s strategic initiatives to achieve the prestigious Pathway to Excellence® designation awarded by the ANCC, reflecting a commitment to supporting positive work environments for nurses and delivering exceptional patient-centered care.
