Judy Yee, MD, FACRChair, Department of Radiology, Montefiore Professor, Einstein Judy Yee, MD, FACR, joined the Montefiore Health System and Albert Einstein College of Medicine as Professor and University Chair of the Department of Radiology in September, 2017. An internationally acclaimed radiologist and researcher, Dr. Yee is a pioneer in 3D technology, and a dedicated scientist and educator who has revolutionized screening best practices. As an accomplished researcher and expert in abdominal radiology, Dr. Yee is acclaimed for developing a novel technique called virtual colonoscopy, which is used around the world as a life-saving tool for detecting colorectal cancer. She also published the primary textbook for virtual colonoscopies and has authored more than 150 publications on innovative techniques for liver, pancreatic and gastrointestinal tract imaging. Michael L. Lipton, MDMedical Director, MRI Services, Director, Radiology Research and Associate Director, Gruss Magnetic Resonance Research Center, Montefiore Medical Center Associate Professor of Clinical Radiology, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Albert Einstein College of Medicine Dr. Lipton developed and directs a program investigating mild traumatic brain injury and its effects on cognitive disability. Thus, with current work at the interface of basic science, technology and clinical medicine, as well as between brain and behavior, Dr. Lipton continues to embrace his original interests in the nature and basis of dysfunctional human behavior. Allan Brook, MDDivision Head, Neurointerventional Radiology, Montefiore Medical Center Professor of Clinical Radiology, Department of Radiology (Neuroradiology), Professor of Clinical Neurological Surgery, The Leo M. Davidoff Department of Neurological Surgery, Albert Einstein College of Medicine Dr. Brook, who launched and continues to lead the Interventional Neuroradiology section, is nationally recognized for his pain management expertise. He was also the first in the state of New York to conduct a vertebroplasty. Dr. Brook is the director of a national recognized interdisciplinary acute stroke intervention meeting in NYC (AIM/VEITH Symposium) annually. Fellows and other interventional radiologists train under Dr. Brooke's tutelage, and his Degenerative Spine Disease seminar, which he co-directs with Dr. John Houten, is attended by several hundred people from all specialties. He fields a large volume of pain management referrals and Emergency Department cases and helms several national conferences, as well as courses on acute stroke management and minimally invasive spine pain management. Beverly A. Thornhill, MDAttending Radiologist, Montefiore Medical Center Associate Professor of Clinical Radiology, Albert Einstein College of Medicine Dr. Thornhill is certified by the American Board of Radiology and specializes in musculoskeletal imaging with expertise in all aspects of the field, including diagnostic and therapeutic imaging and procedures. Dr. Thornhill's areas of particular interest lie in bone and soft tissue tumors, scoliosis, arthritis, and trauma, including sports related injuries. She works closely with orthopedists, including orthopedic oncologists and pediatric orthopedists. An associate professor, Dr. Thornhill teaches radiology residents and directs the one-year Musculoskeletal Radiology fellowship accredited by the Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education. She is a member of the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America and the American Roentgen Ray Society among other professional societies, and her scholarly activities include speaking at various institutions, presenting educational exhibits at major Radiology meetings, and publications related to musculoskeletal imaging. Terry L. Levin, MDClinical Professor, Department of Radiology (Pediatric Radiology), Associate Clinical Professor, Department of Pediatrics, Albert Einstein College of Medicine In 2008, Dr. Levin was named one of the “New York Super Doctors”. A member of the Society of Pediatric Radiology, she has contributed numerous publications to the radiology literature, including original articles and book chapters. She is on the editorial staff of the Journal of Pediatric Radiology as well as American Journal of Radiology. Dr. Levin is a member of the John Caffey Society, a select group of pediatric radiologists, and Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical honor society. She has also participated on the resident selection committee at Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Levin can speak to radiation exposure associated with imaging in pediatric patients. Areas of Expertise
