Einstein Granted Full Accreditation from LCME
July 1, 2025

The Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME), the accrediting body for M.D. programs in the United States, has once again granted Albert Einstein College of Medicine full accreditation. In their June 2025 meeting, the LCME extended Einstein’s accreditation through 2031.
“Under Dean Tomer’s leadership, the College of Medicine implemented multiple important institutional and program enhancements in partnership with the student body, which is reflected in this positive result from the LCME,” said Yoon Kang, M.D., vice dean for education and the Ruth L. Gottesman Chair in Education at Einstein.
Key accomplishments over the past two years range from free tuition and fees for all M.D. students and the launch of the Einstein Learning Communities Program, to a reimagined library and multiple new student study and relaxation spaces.
“We look forward to the continued engagement of the Einstein community in shaping the next phase of strategic growth and innovation in our education mission,” said Dr. Kang.
