PM&R Medical Student Interest Group

Under the guidance of Attending Administrator Dr. Stephanie Rand, Drs. Atira Kaplan and David Gutierrez have been serving as the resident liaisons to create an engaging, informative, and fun PM&R interest group for the medical students at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. This Fall, the medical students were able to learn more about PM&R and the subspecialty of Sports Medicine. There was a record turnout for this past event, reaching over forty students in attendance. Current Sports Medicine Fellow, Dr. Timothy Tiu, gave a presentation on sideline coverage and provided the students with opportunity to participate this winter in event coverage. There are plans to host more events throughout this year pending gracious AAP grant funding.
