Firefighters who responded to World Trade Center attacks more likely to have heart disease

Internal medicine physician, Dr. Sarah Baron, is lead author of a new study that found Clostridioides difficile (C. diff) infections occur outside the hospital more than previously thought. Dr. Baron’s research also found that there is a large pool of patients who show no sign of C. diff, despite being carriers for the infection. The study was published in Infection Control & Hospital Epidemiology.
