Men's Prostate Cancer Questions Answered at Sept. 27 Event

Montefiore-Einstein Center for Cancer Care, Intuitive Surgical and NFL Present Free Educational Program
BRONX, NY (September 20, 2010) - Men and their loved ones are invited to learn about prostate cancer and the latest treatment options for the disease at a free seminar hosted by the Montefiore-Einstein Center for Cancer Care (MECCC) in conjunction with Intuitive Surgical and the NFL.
The event will be held from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 27th at the MECCC, 1521 Jarret Place, Bronx, NY.
Prostate cancer is the most common non-skin cancer affecting men in the United States, but is most treatable when caught early. According to the American Cancer Society, about 1 man in 6 will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime, but only 1 man in 34 will die of it.
The Sept. 27th event will feature a brief presentation by Reza Ghavamian, MD, director of the Prostate Cancer Program and director of Urologic Oncology and Robotic Urologic Surgery at the MECCC. A question and answer session will follow.
