Administrative Fellowship at Montefiore Einstein

Program Overview

The Gerren Joseph Faustini Administrative Fellowship Program is a comprehensive educational and professional development opportunity designed to equip future healthcare leaders with the skills, experience, and insights necessary to manage both clinical and nonclinical operations effectively.

This 18-month rotational program offers immersive, hands-on training in key areas of healthcare administration. Fellows work closely with senior leadership within the Montefiore Einstein Faculty Practice Group and across Montefiore Einstein, contributing to high-impact projects and initiatives across various departments.

Fellowship responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate closely with the senior leadership team within the Faculty Practice Group and Program Director on strategic initiatives and operational improvement efforts.
  • Lead and support a variety of projects, including provider productivity assessments, staffing benchmarks, referral workflow redesign, financial and operational analyses, and revenue cycle optimization.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of tools such as databases, tracking dashboards, Epic templates, and standard operating procedures.
  • Gain hands-on practice management experience by working alongside department administrators and clinical teams to enhance access, scheduling, billing processes, and overall patient experience.
  • Participate in key departmental and enterprise-level meetings with senior leadership and serve as an active member of the administrative team.
  • Build strong professional relationships with senior leaders across Montefiore, fostering mentorship opportunities and expanding your leadership network.
