Dr. Shaparin is a nationally recognized expert in acute and chronic pain management with a clinical focus in outpatient interventional pain medicine. He has conducted extensive research in the areas of non-opioid therapies for chronic non-malignant pain and interventional pain procedures. Dr. Shaparin has also studied the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on healthcare delivery and social determinants of health. He leads the Multidisciplinary Pain Program at Montefiore Einstein, which offers the most advanced diagnostics and treatments to reduce pain, increase functionality and improve quality of life for patients with chronic pain.
