January 9, 2025
Jennifer Oliver-Krasinski, MD, PhD, a distinguished surgical pathologist specializing in pediatric and breast pathology at Montefiore Einstein, assumed her new role as Vice Chair of Anatomic Pathology (AP) on January 1, 2025. She succeeds James Pullman, MD, PhD, our longstanding leader of Anatomic Pathology.
As Vice Chair, Dr. Oliver-Krasinski oversees all AP clinical operations. Her leadership in directing the Autopsy Service and AP Quality Management yielded streamlined operations with significant process enhancements that improved system-wide outcomes. Dr. Oliver-Krasinski will continue to serve as Director of Quality in Anatomic Pathology.
Strategic planning, continuous process improvements, and potential expansion of clinical services within the Montefiore Health System will be key priorities, ensuring seamless workflows and maintaining the highest patient safety and quality standards. With a forward-thinking approach, Dr. Oliver-Krasinski plans to continue modernizing operations by incorporating digital pathology and artificial intelligence. Dedicated to fostering a vibrant research culture, she will actively support faculty and residents in their clinical and translational research projects, in part by promoting interdisciplinary collaboration.
A Princeton graduate, Dr. Oliver-Krasinski earned her MD and PhD in Pharmacological Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania. She completed her AP/CP pathology residency at Columbia University, where she served as chief resident, followed by fellowships in surgical pathology at Columbia and pediatric pathology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She began her career at CHOP before joining Montefiore in 2017 as an attending pathologist.
Raised in Puerto Rico, Dr. Oliver-Krasinski’s bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, along with her extensive teaching and mentorship at Einstein, reflect her dedication to academic medicine and Bronx patient care.
