Dr. Eric Fornari recently returned from his annual global outreach trip to Guyaquil, Ecuador with Project Perfect World.

He was honored to serve as medical lead for this team of 25 professionals from all over the country. Over a decade of work with this organization has allowed them to develop strong relationships with their local hosts. Together they worked to provide pediatric orthopedic care in the clinics and the OR.

They performed complex surgery focused on hip dysplasia and lower extremity/foot deformities and provided educational opportunities for medical students, residents, and the local attending staff. 

Dr. Fornari said, "Every year I come back from this trip humbled, rejuvenated, and refreshed. I am so thankful for the opportunity to participate in the longitudinal care of these patients as well as the education of the local residents and surgeons. It is an important recurring reminder of how fortunate we are and why we do what we do.”
