John M. Finger Joins Montefiore Leadership as Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning and Business Development

Montefiore Health System has announced the appointment of John M. Finger as senior vice president, strategic planning and business development. 

Mr. Finger, with more than 20 years of experience in healthcare, comes to Montefiore from the Einstein Healthcare Network, a private, not-for-profit academic healthcare system based in Philadelphia, where he served as Chief Administrative Officer. While there he oversaw the creation of a five-year strategic plan. He also developed and directed the implementation of new business initiatives as well as large-scale technology system upgrades. Mr. Finger previously worked for 10 years at Mt Sinai Hospital in New York City in a number of roles including Vice President for Strategic Planning. He began his career in New York City government, where he worked on a special project created by Mayor Edward I. Koch that automated the voting process.

Mr. Finger received his Master of Arts degree in Economics and Public Policy from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Vassar College.
