Colleen M. Blye Joins Montefiore Leadership As Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Montefiore Health System (MHS) has appointed Colleen M. Blye as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Ms. Blye, who brings more than 25 years of leadership in large, complex, healthcare organizations, will assume responsibility for financial strategy across Montefiore and Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Safyer, M.D., president and CEO, Montefiore Health System. “Colleen’s experience leading integrated healthcare delivery systems makes her particularly well-suited to help build on our rich history of creating and taking on innovative payment arrangements aimed at improving care and advancing Montefiore’s financial standing.”
Ms. Blye joins Montefiore from Catholic Health Services of Long Island (CHS), an integrated healthcare delivery system, including six hospitals and three nursing homes At CHS she served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and had direct responsibility for treasury management, revenue cycle, financial reporting and planning, third-party contracting, supply chain, accounts payable, payroll, and information technology.

Earlier in her career, she was Executive Vice President for Finance and Integrated Services at Catholic Health Initiatives, a health system with 78 hospitals in 20 states. Her work in two non-profit hospital systems have contributed to her professional commitment to advancing the health of communities and providing the same standard of excellent care to all, regardless of socioeconomic status.
Ms. Blye has been a certified public accountant since 1984 and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Healthcare Financial Management Association. She is a graduate of the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.
