Annual Event Helps Famed CranialFacial Center for Children

Greenwich, CT (June 12, 2005) -- The highlight of Southern Connecticut’s spring social season is the Annual Ebel Polo Classic, sponsored by the Greenwich Committee for Montefiore Medical Center to benefit the CranioFacial Surgery Center of The Children's Hospital at Montefiore. The event, being held on Sunday, June 12, at the Greenwich Polo Club, Conyers Farm, begins with a reception at 11:30 AM, then a luncheon, the exciting polo match at 3 PM, followed by an awards ceremony. Andrea Robinson, Chief Marketing Officer of Estee Lauder, and well-known designer Joseph Abboud are this year's honorees.

The beneficiary of the Ebel Polo Classic, the CranioFacial Surgery Center at The Children's Hospital of Montefiore, located in New York City, is a world famous program that heals facial and skull deformities in children.  It recently received global acclaim for successful operations which separated twins from the Philippines, Carl and Clarence Aguirre, who were conjoined at the head.

According to the event's Chairperson, Margaret Hayes Adame, "The Greenwich Committee for Montefiore Medical Center is proud that our Polo Classic is helping the world renowned work being done at the CranioFacial Center of the Children's Hospital at Montefiore. This program's involvement in helping children in need from all over our region, and even the world, is a humanitarian effort that is truly worthy of everyone's support.  We're delighted that our two distinguished honorees, Andrea Q. Robinson and Joseph Abboud, are behind our efforts, and we're especially pleased to have the support of our principal backer, Ebel."
