“Dr. Rikin has been exemplary in her role in the department of medicine, and I couldn’t be more pleased she has agreed to take on this new position,” said Yaron Tomer, M.D., the Marilyn and Stanley M. Katz Dean at Einstein and chief academic officer at Montefiore Medicine. “As Einstein recommits to advancing and enhancing its education, research, and administrative programs, Dr. Rikin will play a critical part in ensuring the College of Medicine continues to develop and thrive.”

In her new role as associate dean, Dr. Rikin will support Einstein in all aspects of continuous quality improvement (CQI) related to accreditation requirements, the development of the College of Medicine’s strategic plan, and other emerging quality improvement initiatives. Additionally, she will establish Einstein’s standards for CQI, identify areas for improvement, ensure data are shared with relevant stakeholders, and support faculty, staff, and students to use data to inform key programs.

Dr. Rikin joined Montefiore Einstein in 2017 as director of ambulatory quality improvement in the DOM and will continue in this role. Dr. Rikin currently oversees the implementation of evidence-based medicine into clinical practice and collaborates with DOM physicians and multidisciplinary teams to create a culture focused on high-quality care. She is committed to improving health systems by making it easier for clinicians to deliver evidence-based care, particularly for communities impacted by health and social inequities.
