“Our consistent appearance on these rankings, despite the challenges we’ve faced over the past two years, underscores how extraordinary Einstein truly is,” said Gordon F. Tomaselli, M.D., the Marilyn and Stanley M. Katz Dean at Einstein and executive vice president and chief academic officer at Montefiore Medicine. “Our collegiality and deep commitment to scientific and educational excellence are reflections of each community member’s dedication to our missions and to each other. “Einstein is fully committed to maintaining our equitable and inclusive workplace,” said Yvonne Ramirez, vice president of human resources and Title IX coordinator at Einstein. “The College of Medicine will continue to embrace diversity and prioritize a positive work environment. We are immensely proud of the staff, faculty, and students who make Einstein a ‘best’ place to work and learn.”

Forbes partnered with market research company Statista to survey approximately 60,000 American employees working for companies with more than 1,000 workers in the United States. In total, 1,000 employers were recognized across 25 different industry sectors. The list is divided into two rankings: 500 large and 500 midsize employers. Employers were categorized by industry. There were 24 different industries, with educational institutions making up 8% of the midsize list.

The evaluation was based on direct and indirect recommendations from respondents who were asked to rate their willingness to recommend their own employer to friends and family. Their evaluations also included other employers in their respective industries that stood out either positively or negatively.
