Jan Mohlman, PhD, ABPP, is an attending psychologist at Montefiore Einstein, specializing in adults with mood and anxiety disorders and challenging life problems. Dr. Mohlman offers cognitive behavior therapy as well as other contemporary short-term interventions.
After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1993, Dr. Mohlman earned her Master of Science at the University of Oregon in 1994. She remained at this institution to earn her Doctor of Philosophy in clinical psychology, completing it in 1998.
Dr. Mohlan’s research has focused on anxiety and fear, late-life anxiety and topics in cognitive behavior therapy. Her work has been published in scientific publications, including the Clinical Gerontologist, the Journal of Anxiety Disorders and the Journal of Applied Gerontology.
Dr. Mohlan is board certified in Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies by the American Board of Professional Psychology. She is a member of the National Register of Health Service Psychologists.
