
Sarah B. Wren, NP

About
Ms. Wren works in the Pediatric Emergency Department (ED), caring for 60,000 patients per year from birth to 21 years. She cares for patients with acute and chronic illness and trauma, and has a special interest in pediatric dermatology and gynecology. Ms. Wren is active in the Follow-Up Program for all ED patients and educates PNP students, medical students and residents. She is also a frequent lecturer to faculty, fellows, residents and nursing staff. Ms. Wren has been an adjunct faculty member at New York University College of Nursing since 2004 in the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program and Family Nurse Practitioner Program.
Ms. Wren worked with Nova Hope for Haiti from 2011 to 2017. She also worked with the Pediatric Education Development Society International (PEDSI) Global Health Initiative in the Philippines and Zimbabwe from 2015 to 2017.
Ms. Wren has worked at Montefiore since 1985. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Rochester in 1979 and her Master of Science in Nursing, Pediatric Primary Care at Columbia University in 1985. She holds certification from the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. Ms. Wren received the Do The Right Thing Award from Montefiore in 1992 and the Director’s Award in 2003. In 2004, she won the Preceptor of the Year Award from New York University.
